Overview
You will assist the Cardio Respiratory Manager in the provision of an efficient and cost effective service to the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. To support the manager in ensuring compliance with and maintenance of professional standards at local and national level. To perform ECG and Holter monitoring on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
Responsibilities
* Lead 12 ECGs that are both routine and urgent for all directors.
* Fit Ambulatory Cardiac Monitors as well as Arrhythmia Event Recorders.
* Fit and download 24-hour Non-Invasive Blood Pressure Monitors.
* Carry out general administrative duties as part of the role.
* Provide high quality personalised care in accordance with agreed local and national standards.
* Support in maintaining patient safety in line with Health and Safety legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2/3 or Equivalent
* Basic general education to 16 years
* Functional literacy and numeracy skills
* Basic keyboard skills
* Candidates will be supported through an in-house training programme to provide both practical and theoretical knowledge required for the post and to support gaining a Certificate in Electrocardiography.
