We have an exciting opportunity for a Salaried GP to join our enthusiastic, friendly and hard working team at St John's Medical Centre. We are looking for a Salaried GP to work 6 sessions per week.
We are a large Training Practice with circa 13,000 patients registered. We are located in the market town of Grantham, which offers excellent transport links with easy access to the A1 and is on the mainline for London. Two notable Grammar schools in the area are Kesteven and Grantham Girls School and The King School.

We pride ourselves on providing high quality care and would love the post holder to be an enthusiastic and forward thinking clinician who has a passion for General Practice and provides exceptional levels of care.
The post holder will manage a case load and join our large but welcoming clinical team.

The Practice has been successful in its application to become a Licensed Sponsor under the Skilled Worker Immigration Route.
In addition, we are also a Training Practice and regularly welcome GP Registrars, Nursing Placements and Medical Students.
In our last CQC Regulatory Review we retained our 'Good' grade.
Clinical Systems: We currently use SystmOne and AskmyGP. Full training will be provided.

Job Summary
To work as an autonomouspractitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to thepractice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilstcomplying with the GMS contract. Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere tothe GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effectivemanagement of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive,collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
Primary Responsibilities
Thefollowing are the core responsibilities of the salaried GP. There may be onoccasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent uponfactors such as workload and staffing levels:
The delivery of highly effective medical care to theentitled population.
The provision of services commensurate with theGMScontract.
Generic prescribing adhering to local and nationalguidance.
Effective management of long-term conditions.
Processing of administration in a timely manner,including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrativetasks.
On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage andduty doctor roles.
Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction withgood practice, policy and guidance.
Working collaboratively with the clinical team.
Adhere to best practice recommended through clinicalguidelines and the audit process.
Contribute to the successful implementation of continuousimprovement and quality initiatives within the practice.
Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (orareas) or QOF.
Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetingsas required.
Contribute effectively to the development and maintenanceof the practice including; clinical governance, training and financialmanagement.
Ensure compliance with the appraisal process.
Prepare and complete the revalidation process.
Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos ofcontinuing professional development across the practice team.
Support the training of medical students from allclinical disciplines.
Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims ofthe practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure.
Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies atall times.
Encourage collaborative working, liaising with allstaff regularly, promoting a culture of continuous improvement at all times.
Secondary Responsibilities

Participate in practice audits as requested by theaudit lead.
Participate in local initiatives to enhance servicedelivery and patient care.
