CAMHS Assistant Psychologist Croydon CAMHS
We are looking for an Assistant Psychologists for the Croydon CAMHS treatment team who offer a mental health service to children and adolescents with moderate to severe mental health disorders and/or ADHD.
You will contribute to the provision of services to meet the needs of these young people by supporting initial assessments and preparation of draft reports, supporting the running of parent information groups and supporting initiatives to reduce waiting times.

For this role, we regularly offer support to Assistant Psychologists looking to progress on to a career in Clinical Psychology by gaining a place on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme. Group and Individual supervision are offered to Assistants in the aim of helping them to progress in their career.
* To assist practitioner psychologists in the delivery of a specialist assessments and interventions. Working collaboratively to assess the needs of the service users, planning, implementing and evaluating the care given in the Croydon treatment team
* To provide clinical work as required by the service, under the direct guidance, close clinical and professional supervision, of a practitioner psychologist. This may involve co-facilitation of psychoeducation and therapeutic groups.
* To assist in clinically related administration, e.g. assessment/discharge reports, conduct audits, collect statistics, develop audit and/or research projects.
* To work following clinical guidelines and the policies and procedures of the service, while closely supervised and regularly seeking help from clinical/professional supervisor or manager.

Christopher Wren House is situated within easy walking distance of the town centre, and approximately 12 minutes walk from East Croydon station. It is generally well served by public transport with good bus and tram links. All the Croydon CAMHS services are co-located within it. which supports good inter team working opportunities and sharing of expertise.
