If you have more than 5 years’ experience in a busy, acute private hospital and are ready for the challenge of overseeing the operation of Cabrini Malvern both in and out of hours, we would like to hear from you.
The After Hours Hospital Coordinator is responsible for the efficient and effective management of the hospital including managing risk and supporting Cabrini’s operational goals.
We offer you a comprehensive orientation program working with our experienced Hospital Coordinators until you are ready to take on the responsibility yourself. Even then, you will be closely supported by senior staff who will be only a phone call away for advice.
This is a wonderful opportunity for growth and development of experienced nursing leaders. Ideally, you will be in a substantive nursing management role with the ability to work relieving shifts in the role of the Hospital Coordinator.
The Hospital Coordinator will:
5. Manage demand and capacity, including the flow of patients to beds.
6. Oversee the provision of adequate skill mix and resources for shifts.
7. Act as the emergency response, Coordinator according to local and organisational policies and procedures.
8. Support leadership in clinical risk management.
9. Extensive training is available to the successful applicant(s).
About you (r
10. Registered Nurse Division 1 with at least five years of recent experience in a large, acute private hospital.
11. Excellent communication skills
12. Demonstrated high-level organisational skills
13. Demonstrated problem-solving ability
14. Ward management experience
