The Role

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Paralegal to provide excellent support to our Legal Practitioners in our Private Client Department, at both our Stroud and Gloucester offices. The role involves assisting with client liaison, preparing documents, and assisting with compliance and legal orientated tasks.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

On-board new clients by promptly taking enquiries and sending appropriate case management system documentation.

* Assist prospective clients by identifying their legal needs and organising appropriate next steps
* Completing Conflict of Interest searches
* Send instructions to the Client Services Team to open new matters
* Review client care documentation within SOS and finalise to send to clients if necessary

Prepare compliance for the Legal Practitioner to review and approve inc:

* Reviewing and scanning Source of Funds documents where necessary
* Maintaining an updated Risk Analysis and Matter Summary form

Paralegals are expected to complete legal tasks that support the progression of matters under the supervision of the Legal Practitioner. These tasks may include, but are not limited to:

* Reviewing incoming and drafting outgoing correspondence and legal documents
* Communicating with clients and third parties via phone, in person, or through Microsoft Teams
* Conducting legal research using the Legal Library and other relevant resources
* Completing transactions as appropriate e.g. Exchanges and Completions
* Allocating and processing incoming post using the Post Room script
* Assisting with disclosure exercises, including reviewing, redacting, and preparing documents
* Managing case files and ensuring accurate, up-to-date records are maintained in case management systems
* Monitoring compliance deadlines, such as limitation periods or procedural timeframes
* Handling routine correspondence with clients and third parties

Manage the matters finances as directed and reviewed by the Practitioner including:

* Completing posting slips, including matter expenses
* Drafting invoices
* Recording Chargeable and Non chargeable Time

Your Experience & Technical Ability

· Previous paralegal experience would be an advantage.

· Confident, proactive, team focussed,

· Flexible and adaptable to change whilst providing care and attention to detail to help deliver the best service to our clients.

· Being organised and able to use initiative are also considered pre-requites for this important role.

· Possess strong organisational and inter-personal skills and be IT proficient.
