Job Description
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will support, maintain and manage a range of diverse technologies used across the Business.
The Infrastructure Systems team are responsible for the lifecycle management of compute and storage platforms that underpin our highly demanding products and services.
You will play an integral part in improving the day-to-day operational efficiency and predictability of our systems. In tandem, you will work on cross-functional infrastructure solutions, helping with BCM exercises, problem investigations, incident resolution, system build and continuous improvement.
This is a great opportunity for a passionate and creative engineer to further upskill with both current and future technologies within the infrastructure systems environment.
You will be required to provide out of hours support on a rota basis, which may also require occasional weekend in office presence.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
Qualifications
* Previous experience supporting an incident management function with knowledge of ITIL.
* Experience with Linux or Windows system administration.
* Experience in the use of virtual infrastructures, including VROps, vCenter and vSphere.
* Fundamental understanding of networking, load balancing, storage and virtualisation.
* Effective time management, organisation and work prioritisation to meet deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
* Strong problem-solving, with the ability to work under pressure and be an active communicator on technical issues.
* Self-motivated investigation and resolution of issues across the systems technology stack.
* Knowledge of Remedy, Helix or Pager Duty.

* Collaborating with technology specialists to fix issues and deliver platform enhancements.
* Recognising areas for continuous improvement and opportunities for automation.
* Supporting, maintaining, building, and managing privately hosted container platforms, systems and storage.
* Monitoring our critical systems, while suggesting and creating additional monitoring systems, dashboards and processes to further improve visibility.
* Owning the incident management programme through to ticket closure by ensuring regular updates and customer updates.
* Ensuring collaboration channels are used to help resolve incidents in the fastest way possible.
* Completing repeatable infrastructure systems tasks and identifying areas for improvement
