Infrastructure Engineer - Azure & Microsoft 365

A leading insurance firm based in the City is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance its cloud and modern workplace environment.
This role focuses on delivering secure, scalable infrastructure across Azure and Microsoft 365, with particular ownership of collaboration and productivity services including Teams and Copilot, all built on the Microsoft ecosystem.
The Role
You'll be responsible for maintaining and improving the organisation's cloud infrastructure and digital workplace tools, ensuring employees can collaborate effectively through Teams, automation, and AI-powered capabilities. You'll contribute to both BAU support and transformation projects as the business continues its cloud-first journey.
Key Responsibilities

Engineer, support, and optimise Azure infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS)
*
Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune, and Entra ID
*
Own and enhance Microsoft Teams (collaboration, voice, meetings, governance, policies, and integrations)
*
Support rollout and adoption of Copilot and modern workplace automation
*
Lead migrations, upgrades, and platform improvements
*
Strengthen security, identity, and compliance controls
*
Provide 3rd line support and technical expertise across infrastructure projects
*
Work closely with stakeholders to deliver reliable, user-focused services
Experience Required
*
Strong hands-on Azure engineering experience
*
Proven Microsoft 365 administration experience
*
Deep knowledge of Microsoft Teams (including voice/telephony, security, and governance)
*
Experience implementing or supporting Copilot or AI productivity tools (desirable)
*
Solid understanding of networking, identity, and security best practices
*
PowerShell or automation/Scripting skills
*
Experience within insurance or financial services environments (preferred)
