Junior Contracts Manager – Building Services / M&E Maintenance Location: Surrey (with travel across London & the South East) Salary: £50,000 – £58,000 (depending on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time (occasional out-of-hours attendance required) Annual Leave: 25 days bank holidays Alice Rose is recruiting for a Junior Contracts Manager to join a reputable Building Services Maintenance provider, supporting commercial portfolios across London and the South East. This position is ideal for someone from an M&E or HVAC background who has progressed into supervision or management and is now looking to step into a full contracts management role. The Role The Junior Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing a range of small-scale FM and building maintenance contracts, ensuring the smooth running of planned and reactive works across mechanical, electrical, and public health systems. You’ll manage client relationships, ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, and support senior management in driving service quality and operational efficiency. Junior Contracts Manager Duties Include: * Conducting site surveys and preparing maintenance contract proposals * Mobilising new contracts and ensuring smooth transition and client satisfaction * Carrying out site inspections and reviewing RAMS and compliance documentation * Managing client relationships and attending review meetings * Quoting and delivering small works and additional projects * Overseeing subcontractor performance and documentation * Supporting senior management with day-to-day operations and contract renewals The Candidate You’ll be an ambitious, motivated individual who enjoys responsibility and client interaction. A solid technical understanding of M&E building services is essential, alongside strong organisational and communication skills. Junior Contracts Manager Requirements: * Recognised qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or HVAC Engineering (e.g., City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ, or HNC/HND) * Strong understanding of Health & Safety, RAMS, and compliance processes * Experience managing or supervising engineers within a maintenance environment * Confident communicator with good written and IT skills (Microsoft Office) * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to develop into a full Contracts Manager role within a growing business that offers long-term progression, autonomy, and exposure to a wide range of commercial environments
