SEND Teaching Assistant- Liverpool
Milk Education are recruiting for a purpose-driven, ambitious SEND Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Huyton, Liverpool to work on a long-term or short-term basis starting as soon as possible!

About the Role:
You will play a vital role in supporting students both in and outside of the classroom, helping them access learning and develop life skills. This position requires patience, flexibility, and a strong belief in every young person’s potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day classroom and individual support to students with ASD and complex needs
Work under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCo to implement learning plans
Support with emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour
Build meaningful relationships with students, promoting trust and consistency
Assist with personal care when required (training provided if necessary)
Help maintain a calm, safe, and structured learning environment
Ideal Candidate:
Resilient, calm, and confident when working in high-need SEN environments
Experience supporting children or young people with ASD and complex needs (preferred)
Team Teach trained or willing to undergo behaviour management training (highly desirable)
Excellent communication skills and a team player attitude
Ability to use initiative and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving setting
