We are working with a leading building services contractor in South Wales who are looking to appoint an Electrical Design Manager to join their growing team. This is a senior role for someone who wants to lead electrical design delivery across major construction projects and be part of a contractor with a strong pipeline of work.

The Role
As Electrical Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the electrical design function across multiple projects, ensuring high-quality delivery from concept through to installation. You will work closely with project teams, clients, and consultants to deliver practical and compliant designs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and coordinate electrical building services design across multiple projects
* Review and approve designs, ensuring compliance with UK regulations and standards
* Liaise with project managers, site teams, clients, and consultants to ensure deliverable designs
* Support value engineering, buildability reviews, and project cost control
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
* Ensure designs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
Requirements
* Proven experience in electrical building services design
* Previous experience in a contractor, consultancy, or design & build environment
* Strong knowledge of UK electrical standards and building services regulations
* Experience managing or coordinating electrical design on construction projects
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Salary & Benefits
* £65,000 – £75,000 per year, depending on experience
