Senior Site Agent – Day in the Life
* Ensure that the works under your control are carried out according to the Health and Safety at Work Act and all relevant regulations.
* Manage sub‑contractors on site to ensure that the works are carried out according to the Designer’s Specification.
* On‑site co‑ordination between BMJV, the sub‑contractors and stakeholders.
* Co‑ordinate between the various BMJV departments including technical, safety, environmental, survey, land access and consents.
* Ensure the protection of existing instrument installation during site reprofiling, ground engineering and shaft construction works.
* Monitor and report on site activities.
* Arrange setting out with BMJV survey team.
* Prepare working areas including access, ecology surveys and vegetation clearances.
* Arrange utility inspections and permit to dig as required.
* Perform site specific inductions and briefings.
* Arrange site facilities such as mobile welfare, water, lighting and security.
* Check contractor’s RAMS and facilitate approvals with safety department.
* Identify and rectify bad practices.
* Comply with all Company’s Policies and Procedures.
* Undertake other reasonable duties appropriate to the role.
Qualifications
* BSc in civil or geotechnical engineering or similar.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in Geotechnical Investigation site supervision.
* Valid driving licence.
* Demonstrable knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act.
