Plumber (Mobile) – Amey – Kingston Upon Hull

Location: Kingston Upon Hull, Yorkshire & Humberside, North East England
We are excited to offer a permanent mobile plumber role across multiple prisons in the region. The role involves travel between HMP Lindholme in Doncaster up to HMP Durham in Durham.
Salary: Competitive, includes company van (for business use only) and fuel card, plus a 15% allowance for weekend duty.
Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:30. Weekend duty on a rota basis (15% additional allowance).
Prison Security Clearance will be required (Amey will support you through the process).
What You Will Do
* Routine and non-routine maintenance.
* Fault finding, identification of life expired equipment.
* Check, repair and make good faults and life expired equipment.
* Inspections, water sampling and risk assessment.
* Mains water supply repairs, to minimise wastage and continually improve processes.
* Ensure statutory works are carried out in a timely manner and that work is compliant.
* This role may include working at height and in all weather conditions.
* Responsibility for wearing all PPE, for own health and safety and that of others and the public.
* Responsible for achieving own performance targets.
* Responsible for the management and authorisation of high/low-risk maintenance activity on the FM estate using the Amey Safety Rules as the Authorised/Responsible persons (AP/RP). Training will be provided.
* Other tasks as required by the Site.
What You Will Bring
* Full driving licence – essential.
* NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating (Level 2 may be considered).
* Experience in operating light plant.
* Legionella Control (L8).
* Experience in a commercial environment.
* Ability to work alone and use initiative.
* Good all‑round project management knowledge.
