This vacancy will be posted on internal Career Website for 10 work days. Associates are eligible to apply for a transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Probationary period is four (4) months for full-time employees, and six (6) months for part‑time employees.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Clinical Faculty Nurse Educator maintains standards of the practice for nursing as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursing's Social Policy Statement. The Clinical Faculty actualizes the vision, mission, values, balanced scorecard and performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center. The Clinical Faculty participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills. The Clinical Faculty demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served. Provides Montefiore associates and its community with high quality learning activities, guidance, and instruction to facilitate learning and ongoing growth and development.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
* Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse license required.
* Master's degree in nursing or the equivalent.
* Three years of active nursing experience and one year of relevant teaching experience.
* Previous OR experience required.
