Job Description
Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence and Security sector, is currently seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join their team in Cowes. This is a contract position with hybrid working arrangements, requiring four days per week on site. The role involves working on critical projects within a secure environment, ensuring the highest standards of engineering excellence and security compliance.
Responsibilities
* Leading the electrical engineering efforts within the Maritime Services division
* Developing, implementing, and overseeing electrical engineering projects
* Ensuring all projects adhere to industry standards and security protocols
* Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives
* Conducting detailed analysis and troubleshooting of electrical systems
* Preparing and presenting reports on project progress and status
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant technologies and regulations
Qualifications
* Significant experience in electrical engineering
* Detailed knowledge of power distribution networks
* Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Effective communication and leadership abilities
* Proficiency in using industry-standard tools and software
* Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
