About the apprenticeship
Duties
The programme begins with your first year spent in full-time study at the Newport and District Group Training Association (NDGTA), conveniently located just across the road from our Cwmbran site. Focusing on developing the core engineering skills that will form the foundation of your future career—such as working with tools and understanding essential processes.
From year two onwards, you'll move into a blended learning approach: working on-site four days a week to complete your practical qualification and apply what you've learned, while spending one day per week back at college to continue your academic studies.
