Fire Risk Officer\n 📍 Location: SOuth East London\n ⏳ Initial 3-6 Month ongoing Contract\n 💷 Rate: Negotiable (Umbrella) depending on experience \n 🕒 Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm\n\n 🔹 Role Overview Reporting to the Team Manager, you will lead on the day-to-day health and safety management of building projects, maintenance contracts, and fire risk assessments. You will allocate work to internal teams or external contractors and ensure the highest standards of delivery, safety, and compliance.\n\n 🔧 Key Responsibilities\nOversee building safety, fire risk assessments, and contract compliance across the borough\nManage and allocate work to Property Services Officers/Supervisors and contractors\nEnsure projects meet safety standards, budgets, and quality benchmarks\nDevelop robust procedures and quality assurance frameworks\nDeputise for the Assistant Manager when required\nSupport and mentor team members, sharing knowledge and expertise\nProvide input into the improvement of FRA templates, policies, and processes🧠 Knowledge & Skills\nStrong knowledge of contract law, building regulations, BS 9999, PAS 79, and Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005\nAbility to plan and manage maintenance and refurbishment programmes\nExperience supervising staff and working with multidisciplinary teams\nFamiliarity with complex, tenanted social housing blocks✅ Requirements\nBackground in surveying or building with knowledge of fire safety in purpose-built blocks\nQualified Fire Risk Assessor\nMembership with IFE (Institution of Fire Engineers)\nExperience working in a local authority or housing association setting\nCommitment to collaboration and team development\nInterested?\n Apply now or contact Dami on +44 (0) (phone number removed) to find out more
