Hargreaves Foundry Group in Halifax is seeking a qualified Finance & Payroll Manager, as we embark on the next chapter in our 150-year history. With several exciting opportunities for growth ahead of us, we are seeking an experienced professional to complete the Management Team.
This is a hands-on & fully immersive role, where the successful candidate will be encouraged to get involved in all areas of the business to gain a broader understanding beyond the finances, so they can contribute to strategy setting & business planning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a small team of Finance & Admin staff, ensuring compliance to internal & legislative standards
* Oversee day to day Accounting Functions, Credit Control, Cash Management, and Weekly Payroll
* Produce timely & accurate monthly Management Accounts, and annual Budgets
* Process Monthly Payroll
* Administration of Auto-enrolment Pension Scheme for weekly & monthly payrolls
* Analyse sales performance & financial data, to identify and present trends, insights & concerns to the Management Team
* Act as primary contact for External Auditors, Bank, and HM Revenue & Customs
* Contribute to strategic planning as part of the Management Team
Essential Skills/Experience:
* ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualified, with a minimum of 2 years PQE
* Skilled in Leadership & People management
* Experienced in Payroll, Pensions & HR Compliance
* Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence
* Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
* Proactive and participatory
* Proficient user of Microsoft & SAGE software packages
Desirable Skills/Experience:
* Understanding of Grant Application processes
* Familiarity with Importing procedures
* Competency in Change Management
* Experience of ERP & CRM system implementation
* Knowledge of protocols for rental property accounting
