Lab Test Means Project Manager
Location: Filton, Bristol (60% onsite – flexibility required depending on project needs)
Contract Duration: Until 31 December 2026 (possible extension)
Hourly Rate:
* £45.00 per hour (Umbrella)
* £33.64 per hour (PAYE)
* Working Pattern: 35 hours per week (overtime paid at standard rate)
* IR35: Inside IR35
The Role
An exciting contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lab Test Means Project Manager to support a major engineering and test programme within the aerospace sector. You will play a key role in delivering the infrastructure required for the construction, commissioning and operation of a Hydrogen Test Facility, alongside multiple test benches supporting a fuel systems test programme.
The role sits within a large, multi‑national engineering and test environment and requires strong stakeholder engagement across UK and European sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Full accountability for time, cost and quality delivery of assigned projects
* Definition and ownership of Statements of Work
* Establishing and managing project governance and structure
* Driving project execution using agreed KPIs and metrics
* Active management of risks and opportunities
* Reporting progress and status to internal and external stakeholders
* Capturing lessons learned and driving continuous improvement
Required Experience & Skills
* Strong background in Project / Programme Management (PMI qualification desirable)
* Engineering background with strong technical understanding
* Experience delivering engineering or test infrastructure projects
* Confident stakeholder management at all levels, including suppliers and customers
* Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, complex environment
* Experience working within transnational / multi‑site teams
* Excellent communication skills and a high level of professional agility
