This service is home to two active, sociable individuals with learning disabilities. As a valued team member, you’ll play a key role in supporting them to live as independently as possible, develop their skills, and enjoy a variety of daily activities. Your presence will also provide vital emotional support, contributing to their overall wellbeing. Community & Social Engagement: Support individuals in accessing local groups, participating in hobbies like walking/hiking, and engaging in meaningful activities that promote independence and life skills. Companionship & Wellbeing: Build positive relationships by talking about their interests, providing emotional support, and encouraging fun, fulfilling experiences. Skill Development: Help individuals manage finances, improve household skills, and grow in confidence. Teamwork & Communication: Work collaboratively, contribute ideas, and maintain high standards of communication and documentation. Driving & Mobility: A full UK manual driving licence is essential to support individuals in getting out and about. Adaptability: Support individuals based on their unique needs, including occasional lone working and bringing fresh perspectives to improve the service. What skills and experience do you need? A background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided.
