Michael Page are working with a well-established, operationally complex organisation based in the Ellesmere Port area that is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to strengthen its finance team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys owning the month-end process, producing meaningful insight, and partnering with non-finance stakeholders to support commercial and operational decision-making. Client Details Reporting into a senior finance lead, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and analysis. You'll be joining a collaborative finance function within a fast-paced, multi-site environment where finance is viewed as a true business partner. Description The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include: Ownership of the monthly reporting cycle, delivering accurate management accounts with meaningful commentary Investigation and interpretation of performance against budget and forecast, highlighting key drivers and trends Creation of clear, value-adding financial information to support internal decision-makers Playing a key role in the annual budgeting process and regular forecast updates Reviewing and constructively challenging financial assumptions to strengthen planning and forecasting outputs Evaluating income and cost patterns to identify commercial risks, efficiencies, and growth opportunities Assisting with financial modelling, scenario planning, and the development of performance metrics Working closely with operational stakeholders to act as a trusted finance partner Ensuring robust financial controls, reconciliations, and governance are maintained Driving improvements across finance processes, reporting, and systems Providing support during audit cycles and year-end close activitiesProfile A successful Management Accountant should have or be: Working towards qualifications in accounting or finance.
