Materials Engineer
£29.89 - £40 per hour
Morson are currently recruiting for a Materials Engineer to support the development of commercial airframes. You will be joining a department that generates Customer Value by efficiently delivering Robust Materials, Processes & Structural Tests for Innovative Aircraft. You will work on the development, qualification and technical support of the Surface Technologies used for Corrosion Protection, Tribology and other applications of Aircraft airframe.
The role is being offered on a contract basis until January 2027. It will require at least 3 days a week onsite in Filton and is paying £29.89 per hour PAYE or £40 per hour Umbrella inside IR35.
Responsibilities
* Developing and deploying Materials, Processes and Test Technologies for mature design and build.
* Providing corrosion protection, sealing concepts and solutions to enable design, build and operation of aircraft.
* Ensuring reactive support for improvement projects
* Ensuring EHS (Environment Health and Safety) regulations (REACh) thanks to eco-efficient materials and processes
* Adapting existing corrosion protection and sealing principles to a chromate free environment.
