DESCRIPTION
Location: The role could be based in London, Barcelona, or Munich.
The successful candidate will be a key leader in the Global Engineering Services Sustainability and Automation (GES S&A) Execution Planning team. They will be responsible for planning, communicating, and tracking sustainability initiatives to promote decarbonization, energy efficiency, and resource positivity (waste, water, biodiversity) across the First (CF), Middle (ATS), and/or Last (AMZL) Mile business units (BU) supported by GES in the EU. The Senior Sustainability Execution Planning PM will ensure connectivity between BU sustainability strategies and their implementation by GES execution teams, foster thought leadership, and improve data transparency and communication. This role combines technical construction engineering, program planning, and project management, requiring experience in planning, design, project management, and developing sustainability requirements for new and existing buildings, preferably in the industrial or logistics sectors.

Key job responsibilities
1. Oversee construction engineering, planning, and design for sustainability features in new fulfillment center launches.
2. Track the carbon footprint of new launches, perform engineering calculations comparing design options, review material and equipment specifications for energy use, efficiency, and carbon impact.
3. Maintain a program-level overview to inform decision-making and monitor site-level progress.
4. Provide visibility to leadership in challenging situations where tradeoffs involve high opportunity costs.
5. Coordinate with the Project Management Office (PMO) for budget/labor planning, milestone reporting, and risk management.
6. Prepare reports, specifications, and analyses to define design requirements, equipment, and services for sustainability features.
7. Survey fulfillment centers, develop and document audit procedures, and recommend energy and carbon-saving solutions for mechanical systems and core-shell structures.
8. Evaluate embodied and operational carbon in Build-to-Suit designs and implement strategies to reduce carbon intensity.
9. Serve as a sustainability SME, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, including pre-construction, construction teams, and design partners.
10. Manage contractors, designers, and consultants on carbon modeling, reduction, and energy efficiency studies.
11. Collaborate with permitting authorities to support sustainability features in new and existing buildings.
12. Partner with stakeholder teams on due diligence for new opportunities.
13. Establish and operate information systems to track sustainability implementation across programs.
14. Collect lessons learned and coach team members on best practices.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree.
* Experience in construction project management, real estate development, or architecture/design with a sustainability focus.
* Program or project management experience.
* Proficiency in using data and metrics for improvements.
* Experience managing programs end-to-end and communicating results to senior leadership.
* Stakeholder management skills across various organizational levels.
* Ability to work autonomously in ambiguity and multitask in an agile environment.
* Collaborative skills to drive agreement on complex topics.
* Proven results in large, cross-functional initiatives.
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Advanced degree (MBA, MS, etc.).
* LEED Accredited Professional, PE, CEM, LFA, or similar certification.
* Experience interpreting building engineering drawings.
* Demonstrated green building and sustainability design expertise.
* Knowledge of European building regulations.
* Language skills in French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Arabic, Turkish, Afrikaans, or Zulu are preferred.
