Hoe Bridge is a thriving independent school for girls and boys aged 2 to 16. Following the recent opening of our new Senior School, we are seeking a capable Transport Planner to take responsibility for all aspects of our transport operations. You will be joining us at an exciting time in the school’s development as we continue to expand and grow.
This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.00pm during term time, and for four weeks during the school holidays. Specific days during holiday periods will be agreed according to operational requirements.
Responsibilities
* Plan, manage and coordinate all passenger transport services at Hoe Bridge School.
* Oversee complex logistics and manage the fleet of minibuses; maintain the transport database.
* Communicate regularly with school staff, pupils, parents, drivers and coach operators in a professional and courteous manner.
* Act as an ambassador for the school, using excellent communication skills to manage situations calmly and confidently.
* Ensure transport operations run smoothly, safely and efficiently with high standards of customer service.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within an educational setting.
* Strong organisational, collaboration and teamwork skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Clean driving licence with a D1 entitlement is essential.
* Experience driving nine and 17-seater minibuses, with and without passengers.
* Strong analytical skills and confident use of Microsoft Office.
