Main Responsibilities You will provide assessments of children and young people referred to the service for Autism diagnosis, based upon data from a variety of formal and informal sources, including ADOS-2.You will work in our Child Development Centre, as well as our Family Hubs and educational settings when required.You’ll care for service users and their families in the way that you believe is best, delivering our high service standards, sharing best practice and actively improving the way we work. You will advise on evidence-based support for children with autism and their carers, as well as share highly specialist knowledge with other partner agencies and colleagues. You will also support colleagues and other professionals by sharing specialist knowledge and skills within relevant clinical area The Ideal Candidate You will be a registered Allied Health Professional or Nurse with experience of working within children’s social communication disorders assessment services.This includes the assessment and management of children and young people presenting with Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as a good knowledge of support and information for carers and professionals. You will have post qualification training and experience in Autism and social communication conditions. You will also be registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council or Nursing and Midwifery Council. You will have access to regular clinical supervision and ongoing continued professional development including through access to external clinical networks.You will be a part of team who recognises and celebrates clinical excellence steered by evidence-based practice.
