Responsibilities
* The Governing Body at Barker's Lane wish to appoint an outstanding primary classroom practitioner to cover maternity leave from late November. The post is for 2 days per week with some potential additional hours from time to time.
* Barker's Lane is a caring, school community which achieves high standards for pupils' learning and a secure sense of well-being.
* The successful candidate will work alongside a dedicated team of staff and:
* Promote high aspirations and the determination to achieve for all children.
* Be innovative, flexible, highly motivated and inspirational.
* Have excellent communication skills, be pro-active and work well as part of a team.
* Have an up-to-date knowledge of current pedagogy and curriculum developments in Wales.
* Be committed to the development of literacy, numeracy, Welsh and digital competence across a rich and authentic, learner led balanced curriculum.
* Develop a learning environment which fosters creativity, problem solving and independence.
* Aspire to creating a supportive culture which promotes equality and positive well-being.
* Share skills and expertise in the development of extra-curricular activities.
* Skills / keen interest in the development of music is desirable but not essential.
