We are currently seeking experienced Quality Engineers to support our customer based in the West Midlands. This role plays a key part in the product creation process from concept through end‑of‑life, with a strong focus on identifying, analysing and resolving Squeak & Rattle and Water ingress issues across vehicles, systems, and components.

Contract Length: 12 Months
As part of the Current Car Team, you will lead issue investigations and drive robust resolutions that enhance customer satisfaction. You will work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams across design, manufacturing, durability fleet and warranty, applying structured problem‑solving methodologies to deliver effective, permanent solutions. The role also involves hands‑on physical vehicle testing, both on rigs and test tracks.
Key Responsibilities
Lead issue resolution using 8D problem‑solving methodologies
Manage work transparency using Agile tools (e.g. JIRA)
Deliver clear, concise technical updates and reports to stakeholders
Support continuous improvement through vehicle testing and data analysis
Required Skills & Experience
Automotive/Engineering degree or equivalent automotive experience preferred
Demonstable problem solving experience e.g. Root Cause Analysis, 8D Disciplines of problem solving
Demonstrate good negotiation skills to promote issues to next phase of investigation
Knowledge and understanding of automotive manufacturing processes.
Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Highly motivated, fast learner and ability to easily handle multiple tasks
A full clean UK driving licence
Ability to deliver presentations to work groups and senior management
Ability to analyse large data that translates into next actions
Microsoft package elements such Power Point and Excel to a intermediate level
Ability to Plan work/Events and organise detailed activity to deliver the outcomes
Prior knowledge and experience in Squeaks & Rattle, Durability testing an advantageEducation
Automotive / Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering degree
