We are looking for Power Converter Control & Software Engineer who wish to work in the field of power converter control and develop new control systems for the next generation of large multi-megawatt wind turbines. Located in our Glasgow city center offices the successful candidates will find themselves working with experienced engineers to specify, implement, test, and deploy power converter control systems for Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy wind turbines. We are locally a small team, working closely with other teams across the UK, Denmark and worldwide. Depending on qualifications and experience these development engineer role(s) allow the successful candidates to participate with all aspects of the development of new control systems, right through from simulation and laboratory testing to the turbine and windfarm level testing, and in future support the deployment across the global fleet. Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to: •You will design, develop, and implement new control features in line with our software quality and test processes •Review relevant requirements, standards, and other documentation to clarify and understand the engineering requirements •Occasionally you will be requested to complete remote site investigations and troubleshooting for our Electrical systems worldwide What You Need To Make a Difference Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
