Job Overview:

This role involves providing hands-on support with all general maintenance tasks across the SaxaVord Spaceport site. You will play a key part in ensuring the upkeep of facilities, contributing to the smooth running of operations, and assisting with activities that promote the overall success of SaxaVord Spaceport.
Key Responsibilities:
* Report any safety hazards or potential risks to site management promptly.
* Operate tools for grass cutting and other tasks to ensure green spaces are well-maintained and free from obstructions.
* Perform basic painting duties on both internal and external structures.
* Assist contractors (electricians, plumbers, carpenters, etc.) with their tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager..
* Participate in routine inspections and preventative maintenance, either working alongside the team or independently.
* Perform minor repairs, cleaning tasks, and installations as needed, based on skillset.
* Work co-operatively as part of our essential maintenance team

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
* Previous experience in a similar maintenance role is highly desirable.
* Experience in dynamic, changing work environments is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with regulated environments where safety is critical is highly desirable.
* A full, clean UK driving license is essential.
