About the role
As (Sr./Principal) Product Quality Engineer, GaN (m/f/d), you will drive and design qualification strategies for next-generation GaN products for consumer, industrial, and automotive applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams across the entire product development lifecycle (development, manufacturing, quality, test, and applications). This position is ideal for a highly motivated electronics expert with product quality engineering experience keen to develop their skills in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
What you will do
1. Manage and coordinate the qualification of GaN products
2. Assure quality in project management, design, and development activities
3. Identify and address quality gaps and drive quality improvement activities
4. Drive product quality decisions for the disposition of critical nonconforming product
5. Collaborate with laboratories to develop and improve test and analysis methods of GaN products
6. Manage and lead problem-solving activities arising from product failures, customer complaints, and quality incidents
7. Align customer notification strategies for product and process changes and manage follow-up activities
8. Support customer requests for quality information
What you will need
9. Masters Degree/ PhD or equivalent in Physics, Electronics Engineering, or a relevant discipline
10. Several years relevant experience of electronic product design, ideally semiconductor devices
11. Passion for building quality into design processes
12. Advanced skills in MS Office, databases, risk assessment, statistics of failure, and data analysis
13. Self-motivated team player with strong drive, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a continuous improvement mindset
14. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident in presenting to customers and senior managers
15. Able to plan, prioritise and organise personal productivity to achieve a successful balance in working on multiple activities with tight deadlines
16. Knowledge of international quality standards and policies, e.g., AEC-Q101, JEDEC, AIAG Core Tools (preferred)
