We are seeking a skilled and compassionateBand 6 Occupational Therapistto join our NHS client in Rotherham, Yorkshire. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a defined caseload of clients with complex needs using evidence-based and client-centred principles.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of functional abilities, sensory needs, and daily living skills.
* Plan, implement, and evaluate individual and group interventions to promote independence and participation in daily life.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external agencies to ensure holistic care.
* Provide supervision and support to junior staff and students.
* Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with professional and legal standards.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
* HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
* Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally in community or mental health settings
* Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
* Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in occupational therapy
