What you’ll do:

* Generate and manage system safety requirements (hardware, software, firmware).
* Perform safety analysis: HAZOPs, FTA, FMECA, FFA, LOPA.
* Produce safety documentation and support audits, reviews, and committees.
* Develop safety arguments and influence design decisions.
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.
* Travel to customer and subcontractor sites (25%, occasional overseas).
What we’re looking for:
* Experience in safety-related engineering.
* Knowledge of IEC 61508 / Def Stan 00-056.
* Familiarity with safety assurance of COTS or high-integrity software.
* Understanding of hardware/software failure modes, risk assessments & ALARP.
* Degree/Master’s/HND/HNC in Engineering or Safety Management.
* Ability to obtain & maintain UK SC clearance.
