Job Profile
In this role, you'll support our patients and consultants by delivering a warm, seamless service across reception, bookings, and cashiering areas. You'll need to be available to pick up regular ad-hoc shifts, including full-day shifts (up to 11 hours), and confident working in a fast-paced, high-end environment.
* Job Title: Bank Medical Receptionist - Front of House
* Job type: Bank/Zero-hours contract (Ad-hoc shifts, typically up to 11 hours per day)
* Pay: £13.70 per hour
What You'll Be Doing
* Welcoming patients and visitors, managing check-ins, bookings and payments
* Handling phone calls, appointment queries and patient records
* Coordinating with departments to make sure patients are seen smoothly and on time
* Maintaining a professional, tidy front-of-house environment
* Supporting across different reception points and adapting to changing needs
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role (healthcare, hospitality or corporate preferred)
* Strong communication and IT skills
* Calm, organised, and patient-focused
* Smart appearance and professional attitude
* Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
* Flexibility to work shifts as needed, including full 11-hour days
Desirable But Not Essential
* Experience using Meditech, OnBase or other clinical systems
* First aid training or customer service qualifications
* A second language
