Senior Accountant - Barnsley

Are you an experienced accountant looking to take the next step in your career? We're working with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice who are looking to appoint a Senior Accountant to join their Barnsley office.

The Role
As Senior Accountant, you'll play a key role in managing a portfolio of clients and supporting the senior management team. Your responsibilities will include:
* Overseeing a varied portfolio of clients
* Preparing statutory accounts and management accounts
* Handling corporate and personal tax matters
* Reviewing accounts prepared by junior members of the team
* Providing training and advice on accounting software
* Supporting staff development and mentoring
About You
The successful candidate will bring:
* At least 3 years' experience within accountancy practice
* Professional qualification (AAT, ACA or ACCA) - or significant equivalent experience
* Strong technical knowledge and ability to work independently
* Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
* Confidence in mentoring and supporting junior colleagues
