Role Description
We are seeking a motivated Intermediate/Senior Building Services Engineer to join our London‑based team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects, contributing to the design, development and implementation of mechanical and electrical building services systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the design and specification of mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems, including HVAC, lighting, power, water and sustainability solutions.
* Prepare technical calculations, reports and drawings in collaboration with other engineers.
* Support the development of sustainable and energy‑efficient solutions in line with industry standards and regulations.
* Coordinate with architects, contractors and other stakeholders to integrate building services seamlessly into projects.
* Use industry‑standard software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit MEP, IES, Dialux, Amtech) to produce designs and models.
* Carry out site visits, surveys and inspections to support project delivery.
* Stay up to date with UK building regulations, CIBSE guidelines and industry best practices.
Qualifications
* Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical, Environmental/Sustainability Engineering or equivalent.
* 5–10 years of experience in a building services consultancy or related field.
* Familiarity with industry design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, IES, Dialux, Amtech).
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
* Good communication and report‑writing skills.
* Enthusiasm for sustainable and innovative engineering solutions.
* Relevant certifications or licences are a plus.
* Knowledge of Autocad 2D and IES Virtual Environment packages.
* Experience working on RIBA Stage 2‑5 projects.
* Understanding of UK planning and building control processes.
