The Role
We are expanding our Repairs and Maintenance Team. The post holder must have an NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Plastering. This department handles responsive and planned maintenance, as well as void management for Lancaster City Council's housing and non-housing stock. To improve service levels and meet performance targets, we are recruiting a Plasterer/Tiler.
A full current driving licence is essential. The role requires travel within the district and between locations, and the post holder will need to sign up for the DVLA licence validation organization used by the Council.
The successful candidate will undergo a basic DBS check.
This is a permanent position based at White Lund Depot.
The hours are 37 per week (Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm), with operational hours requiring 39 hours per week. Overtime will accrue 1 day’s leave for every 20 days worked.
