GSL Education are currently seeking a committed Behaviour Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Mansfield.
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work alongside teaching staff to support pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties. You will assist in creating structured learning environments, helping students stay engaged, and promoting positive attitudes towards school and learning.
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils to manage behaviour and remain engaged in learning.
* Work 1:1 or with small groups to provide tailored guidance and encouragement.
* Assist teaching staff in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
* Monitor and record pupil behaviour, progress, and achievements.
* Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
* Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare.
Requirements for Behaviour Support Assistant:
* Experience working with children, particularly those with behavioural or additional needs, is desirable.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting young learners.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
