Job Title: Conveyancing Legal Assistant

Overview
A Top 100 law firm in Taunton is seeking a junior Conveyancing Legal Assistant to join its supportive and friendly Residential Property team. This opportunity is perfect for someone with early-stage conveyancing experience who is looking to develop their skills and grow within a reputable firm.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative and transactional support to fee earners within the residential conveyancing team
Assist with preparing contract packs, search requests, standard correspondence, and completion documentation
Manage client onboarding, including ID checks and AML procedures
Handle incoming calls, emails, and enquiries, ensuring the highest level of client care
Keep case files updated and assist in maintaining compliance and file management
Support with post-completion processes such as SDLT forms and Land Registry applications (training provided)
Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other parties as required
About You
Some experience within a conveyancing or wider legal support role is preferred
Keen interest in residential property work and a desire to learn
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Confident communicator with a proactive, positive approach
Ability to manage tasks efficiently and work well within a team
Familiarity with case management systems is beneficial but not essential
