We are looking for solution focussed knowledgeable individuals with a flair for building relationships to join our team to drive the delivery of complex public health and partnership programmes, projects and strategies that contribute to improving the health of people living in the area.
There are 2 roles available, with a focus on: 1) children and young people; and, 2) workforce health, wellbeing and skills; with a shared responsibility for mental health.
Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate:
1. degree level education and/or significant experience in a discipline relevant to public health;
2. knowledge of the services, policy and legislation that govern public health practice and the ability to influence partners within the local system;
3. experience of working in partnership across different sectors with strong relationship building skills with stakeholders at local, regional and national levels;
4. ability to manage complex projects and excellent programme management skills with a commitment to tackling health inequalities through systemic change;
5. confidence and resilience to hold difficult and challenging conversations with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications or substantial experience in the focussed areas of children and young people, employment and skills and mental health are particularly welcomed.
