Job Opportunity: Management Accountant
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious part-qualified, finalist, or newly qualified Management Accountant seeking a new challenge with clear progression to a Finance Manager role in a high-growth business based in Harrogate.
This newly created role is due to significant growth within this dynamic SME. Reporting directly to the Financial Director, you will initially join a small finance team and assist in producing management accounts and analysis for one business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the production of management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
2. Manage budgeting and cash flow forecasting.
3. Post monthly results into the ledger, ensuring strong controls.
4. Assist with board reporting.
5. Develop policies and procedures, and identify opportunities to improve processes.
6. Ensure finance systems are compliant, efficient, and fit for purpose.
7. Perform monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Candidate Requirements:
* Part Qualified/Finalist ACA/ACCA/CIMA with at least 2 years of management accounting experience (desirable).
* Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (essential).
* Previous experience with Sage (desirable).
