I’m currently working on a really interesting opportunity with a well-regarded Northern firm looking to grow its established Family team. This is the sort of role that will appeal to someone who enjoys proper relationship-led family law work rather than simply churning through files. The team handles a broad mix of matters including divorce, financial remedy work (including higher value cases), private children matters, cohabitation disputes and pre/post nuptial agreements. There’s also genuine advocacy exposure here, alongside the opportunity to work closely with experienced Partners in a collaborative and down to earth environment. The firm itself has a strong reputation in the private client/family space and the team continues to attract high quality work across the region. From the conversations I’ve had, culture and flexibility are taken seriously without making a big song and dance about it.
The role would suit someone around the 2+ PQE level who:
* Has solid experience across a broad range of family matters
* Enjoys client-facing work and building long-term relationships
* Is confident managing their own caseload with appropriate support
* Wants to continue developing advocacy and technical skills
* Values being part of a friendly, commercially aware team
