We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young learners at a key stage in their development and play a vital role in helping them reach their full potential. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a KS1 Teaching Assistant:
* Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and activities
* Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning
* Assist with phonics, early reading, writing, and maths support
* Help to create a stimulating and well-organised classroom environment
* Encourage positive behaviour and support social and emotional development
* Provide supervision during break and lunchtimes as needed
* Contribute to classroom displays and general admin duties
Ideal KS1 Teaching Assistant:
* Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within Key Stage 1
* A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills as a KS1 Teaching Assistant.
* A good understanding of phonics and early learning principles
* A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 TA) is desirable but not essential
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s education and wellbeing
