Responsibilities
* Providing expert input to the National Framework for Water Resources
* Drought planning and drought management
* Managing programmes to deliver sustainable abstraction
* Shaping and scrutinising Water companies' statutory Water Resource Management Plans
* National modelling for water resources and groundwater
* Developing talent and skills in water planning
* Leading the operational delivery of services with over 70 technical experts
* Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and high-performing team culture; supporting growth and development of staff
* Taking a wider leadership role as part of the Operations Catchment Services Leadership Team
Experience/skills Required

Team and environment
Operations Catchment Services is a national service of around 240 people, delivering expertise in water and environmental planning, water company account management, and data analysis; serving as the centre of technical excellence for water resources and water quality planning.

This role can be based at any Environment Agency office across England.
