Here at Langdons, we have an amazing opportunity for a Trainee Tachograph & Compliance Officer to join the team based in Bridgwater. You will be working on a permanent full-time basis, working Monday to Friday 8:00 to 16:00 and in return, you will receive a salary of £25,000.00 per annum. We have 11 depots and over 375 vehicles carrying chilled and frozen food all over the country. We’re the only company providing a 24-hour service of this kind, and we’re very good at it. Key Responsibilities: Support the daily monitoring of driver activities and assist colleagues in ensuring compliance with legislative and Operator Licence requirements, including drivers’ hours and tachograph record management. Help to review key performance indicators and support the identification of actions required by drivers and transport staff to maintain effective management of drivers’ hours and address infringements. Assist in checking that drivers hold the correct licences and qualifications, and help carry out regular checks on driving licences, CPC (DQC) qualifications, and Digital Tachograph cards. Assist with the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of company compliance systems and processes, ensuring they remain aligned with current legislation. Support colleagues in delivering training by helping with materials, systems demonstrations, and learning all aspects of drivers’ hours legislation and tachograph compliance Attend relevant meetings, training sessions, and development events to build knowledge, skills, and professional standards within the compliance function. Experience of working in a team-based office environment, ideally within a customer facing or service focused role. Confident using Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to compile, analyse, and interpret data as required. A developing understanding of driving related legislation and associated guidance, with a willingness to learn and build knowledge in this area.
