About the Role We are seeking a Part-Time (30.4 hours) Vocational Specialist to join our integrated team at headspace Tamworth / Centacare NENW. In this role, you will provide vocational assistance to young people (up to 25 years) experiencing mental health challenges, supporting them to achieve employment and education outcomes across Tamworth and surrounding regions. Using an Individual Placement Support (IPS) approach, you will help participants identify and overcome barriers to work and study through tailored, strengths-based, and recovery-oriented support. Description What You’ll Be Doing Provide client-focused case management and career planning. Develop strategies to overcome employment and education barriers. Support rapid job search activities and attend appointments with participants. Build partnerships with external service providers and stakeholders. Engage employers through networking, cold calling, and marketing the program. Maintain relationships with employers, training providers, and education institutions. Collaborate with headspace clinical staff for shared decision-making. Participate in community events to engage local young people. Maintain accurate documentation and reporting.
