The Opportunity
TetraTech RPS Energy is adding a Principal / Associate Director Environmental Consultant - EIA – Offshore Wind to our Marine Consenting team. This role involves delivering client projects in the UK and internationally, mainly for Offshore Wind and Interconnectors, as well as other offshore/coastal sectors.
We operate a hybrid working model with bases in Edinburgh, Woking, Chepstow, Aberdeen, or London (home working considered). We offer flexible working arrangements, including part-time roles, to promote work-life balance.
Our team has extensive experience in offshore infrastructure projects in complex marine environments, including major offshore wind farms like Hornsea One, Two, Three, and SSE’s Berwick Bank. We are recognized as leading experts in marine consenting and environmental assessments.

Your Role
You will manage and work on EIAs for large-scale marine and coastal infrastructure projects, focusing on Offshore Wind, Interconnectors, and Energy Transition in the UK and Ireland. Responsibilities include:
* Coordination and delivery of EIAs (offshore and onshore)
* Marine consents management and compliance
* Review and prepare technical reports
* Engage with statutory consultees and the public
* Guide projects through marine consenting processes
* Mentor junior staff
* Ensure health and safety standards are maintained
Qualifications
You should have a strong understanding of the EIA process for major energy projects, with experience in both onshore and offshore aspects. Key requirements include:
* A relevant environmental degree, preferably with a MSc in EIA or related field
* Experience managing EIA projects in a consultancy setting
* Experience collaborating with technical specialists and stakeholders
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
