Senior Hire Controller London Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE NEOS Engineering are working with a leading specialist equipment hire business who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Hire Controller to join their London operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hire professional who is looking to take ownership of a busy hire desk, manage key customer relationships, and play a senior role within a successful equipment rental operation. The business provides specialist equipment hire solutions to customers across the construction, civil engineering, and infrastructure sectors, supporting projects with a wide range of machinery, attachments, and associated services. They pride themselves on delivering a reliable, responsive service through strong operational support and technical expertise. The Role: Taking ownership of the day-to-day running of the hire desk Managing customer accounts from initial enquiry through to off-hire Producing quotations, processing orders, and maximising hire opportunities Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers Coordinating equipment availability, transport, deliveries, and collections Liaising with depots, engineers, drivers, and operational teams Supporting junior members of the hire desk team Monitoring hire performance, utilisation, and customer satisfaction Ensuring accurate administration and compliance across all hire activity The Person: Proven experience within plant hire, equipment rental, tool hire, or a similar environment Strong knowledge of hire desk processes and customer management Confident handling high-value accounts and commercial conversations Organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workload A proactive approach with the ability to identify opportunities and drive results Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment Desirable: Previous Senior Hire Controller, Hire Manager, or Hire Desk Supervisor experience Knowledge of construction equipment, attachments, or heavy plant Experience mentoring or supporting a hire desk team Strong commercial awareness and customer service focus The Package: Salary up to £45,000 depending on experience Monday–Friday working pattern Opportunity to join an established specialist equipment hire business Long-term career progression within a growing organisation Supportive and professional working environment If you're an experienced Hire Controller, Senior Hire Controller, Hire Desk Supervisor, or Rental Controller looking for a step up in London, apply today for a confidential conversation with NEOS Engineering.
