Principal Building Services Engineer (Mechanical)

We are looking to appoint a Principal Building Services Engineer (Mechanical) based in any of our 13 UK offices. We seek a commercial, forward-thinking, and solution-focused Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Services team in Bristol. You will deliver exceptional technical and commercial solutions to a range of clients across the private and public sectors, including education, defence, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and commercial sectors.

Core responsibilities include:
1. Preparing and managing designs, feasibility studies, reports, and contract documents.
2. Carrying out building analysis.
3. Liaising directly with clients and contractors, promoting business development.
4. Supervising a team of engineers and technicians, assisting in project resource and cost management.

About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* HND/Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
* Significant experience in mechanical building services/HVAC design (e.g., domestic water services, ventilation, heating, cooling).
* Hands-on knowledge of IES, Hevacomp, AutoCAD; experience with Revit MEP is desirable.
* Knowledge of current legislation, UK Building Regulations, Low/Zero Carbon Technologies, and BREEAM.
* Excellent communication skills, collaborative, and self-motivated.
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) or IEng, BEng with mechanical engineering experience.
* Knowledge of construction industry design processes and procurement arrangements.
* Excellent design skills across various sectors.
* Resource planning and management experience.
* Business development experience.
