SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Crawley
Hours: Full-time, Term Time Only
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, caring and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive one-form entry primary school in Crawley.
This is a varied and rewarding role working across the school to support children with Special Educational Needs, while assisting the SENCo and working closely as part of a collaborative staff team.
The Role
Support pupils with a range of SEN, both 1:1 and in small groups
Work across the school, including in-class and intervention support
Assist the SENCo with day-to-day SEN provision and organisation
Support pupils with learning, communication, social and emotional needs
Contribute to planning, implementing and reviewing SEN strategies
Help ensure all pupils can access learning in an inclusive environment
The Ideal Candidate
Has experience supporting children with SEN (school-based experience desirable)
Is patient, flexible and nurturing, with a strong team ethos
Can work proactively under the direction of the SENCo and class teachers
Has a good understanding of inclusive practice and child development
Is organised, adaptable and committed to supporting every child to succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
