Were looking to recruit an Automation Tester on an initial 6 month contract for a leading organisation based in Newport Pagnell. Youll work closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Project Managers and End Users to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software systems.
This is a hands-on role where youll take ownership of automated and manual testing activities, ensuring quality across web applications and performance-critical systems.
This is a hybrid role and you will be required to work 2 days a week onsite in Newport Pagnell.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute automated and manual test scripts across a range of interactive, data-driven websites.
* Gather requirements, create detailed test plans and ensure compliance with defined standards and UAT/ISO processes.
* Conduct performance, stress and load testing using tools such as JMeter.
* Contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines using Git and CI tools.
* Create and maintain high-quality test documentation throughout the test lifecycle.
* Collaborate closely with developers to identify, report and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
* Follow recognised web standards for security, resilience and performance.
Key Skills & Experience
* 5+ years experience in systems testing (manual and automation).
* 2+ years experience in performance, stress and load testing (using JMeter or similar).
* Strong automation experience using Java / JavaScript with Selenium or Webdriver.IO.
* Experience with Cucumber BDD frameworks.
* Good SQL skills, including creating and managing tables.
* Experience testing interactive, data-driven websites.
* Familiarity with Azure DevOps for project and test management.
* Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
