A specialist SEN school in Peterlee is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs.
The school caters for pupils with:
* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
* SEMH needs
* Speech and Language Difficulties
* ADHD
* Moderate Learning Difficulties
Main Duties:
* Supporting teaching and learning across the classroom
* Delivering targeted interventions and emotional support
* Supporting pupils with sensory and communication needs
* Building positive and trusting relationships with learners
* Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
The ideal candidate will:
* Have experience working with children or young people
* Be patient, resilient and nurturing
* Have a strong interest in SEND education
* Be adaptable and proactive
